The day began pleasantly...it was Memorial Day and we were having a Family Cookout...I was working away in the Kitchen when the news started filtering in...I had an inkling something was going on in Gaza...I get a lot of mail and information because of the work we are engaged in...and I have been following the Naval Blockade as our Leadership Institute is located in Sderot....just a few miles from the Mediterranean...standing on the hill outside Sderot, I can look across a field and see Gaza...and beyond it, the Sea...
Some of the pictures that were filtering through my Fox News page were sights I had seen this Succoth...Truck Caravans from Israel with SUPPLIES for the residents of Gaza...going through a series of checkpoints in the desert region between Sderot and Gaza itself..less than 1/2 mile in width...it was eerie to see this live footage today of what we had seen in person...my first thoughts were of my friends and loved ones in The Land...I knew that they would be monitoring this closely...Israel is such a small land mass as She is currently configured...we drove from the "top" to the "bottom" several times on our last trip there....it takes less than 3 hours...hard to fathom that this tiny Land...so beloved by the G-d of Creation...is so hated by the world...
I have seen the Desert Bloom...I have stood on the Soil that the Words of the Bible were written about...I have walked the Tunnels under the Temple Mount and stood just feet from where the Holy of Holies was...how could it be that on this sunny May day in Worthington my friends and loved ones there were once again under "CODE RED" due to terrorists attempting to bring evil on Her once again?
As the stories continued to flood in, the picture became clear...Israel once again had defended Herself against "all enemies foreign and domestic"...and Her bravest young men had been ambushed by duplicitous individuals who desire Her demise. My Co-founding partner sent me a YouTube almost immediately...they had photographed the Flotilla attack and the first footage was quickly made available...you can clearly see the "friendly tourists" on this "friendly ship" beating the Israel Navy Troops with pipes, ball bats, chairs, whatever they could get their hands on...I even watched in horror as I could see these "friendly tourists" pick up and throw one of the Israeli Naval troops off the ship...I immediately thought of Gilad Shalit and wondered if this young man would be captured and tortured as Gilad has and is...we have since learned that he fell 30 feet as a result of this and is in grave condition...but, PRAISE G-D, he was not captured!
There are many FACTUAL stories out now about this; it is clear that Israel did everything She could to TRY to mitigate ANY such violence that erupted due to the ambush of Her troops...I have posted several REALLY GOOD articles including FIRST HAND REPORTS from those on the scene...go to the AFFI FACEBOOK page and read the articles for yourself....watch the YouTube footage for yourself...SEE and READ the TRUTH of what happened today! Then turn your mind to this fact: after 6 decades of strong support for Israel, the Obama administration has just hours ago betrayed this Apple of G-d's Eye by violating decades old confidences that Her Nuclear Deterrent Program was "off limits" to the UN...and instead voted AGAINST Her right to this self defensive mechanism, setting up another "in your face, gottcha" moment. All this just DAYS after Rahm Emanuel was allowed to have his son's Bar Mitzvah (I wonder if he knows what that really means?) in Israel...and then, with his Secret Service entourage, go TO the Western Wall and TOUCH IT...if I were him, I would have been concerned that his hand would shrivel up as several of his Ancestors did when they disobeyed the G-d of Israel!
Is there no shame today? Does anyone CARE that G-D is mocked? Does anyone care that His Land and His Eternal Covenant Children are attacked CONSTANTLY, DAY IN and DAY OUT? Does anyone CARE that the LION OF JUDAH IS ABOUT TO ROAR OUT OF ZION? I do! Do you?

Real Dialogue
Shalom!
I was invited recently (via osmosis, really) to attend an "Interfaith Dialogue." In reviewing the names of those invited, it struck me that the "dialogue" was going to be a "monologue" - and I began to wonder what type of "atmosphere" this would produce...it seems to me that you either stand FOR something and can clearly articulate your belief/position for this "Stand" OR you don't...one sided "monologues" are not "dialogues"......
In my world, dialogue is very important! My partner is a Traditional Jew; I am an Evangelical Christian Zionist...we come from different parts of the world, but find UNITY in the G-d of Israel and His Word. We discuss the "Old Book" and the "New Book" with respect and appreciation for each other's belief borne out by the teaching and studying we have done to reach our Faith Foundations. This, to me, seems like REAL dialogue!
In the rapidly failing world we now live in, partnership and dialogue between Christians and Jews is mandatory for both of us! We are each other's only REAL friends! The set time to favor Zion has come; and we "children of the New Book" find ourselves fulfilling the Z'kharyah/Zechariah 8:23 prophecy: "ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man saying, 'Let us go with you, for we have heard that G-d is with you!'"
My life is a living testimony of this! A phenomenal Hassidic Orthodox Rabbi has become a very dear friend! I can pick his brain for hours and get Talmudic Answers from this scholarly Rabbi that help me understand the Jewish Roots of My Faith! This is "Interfaith Dialogue!"
For Centuries, Christians have ignored the Jewish Roots that Faith in Messiah Yeshua is based upon! Because of this, our hands are literally stained with blood...the blood of Jewish Men and Women who have been slain because we did not know these Jewish Roots. Today's pulpits are filled with Congregational Leaders who care not one bit for Israel or Her Children! Rare is the Pastor that will teach the Word in the context of the Jewishness of the Gospel of Messiah Yeshua! Simple things like: Easter is NOT a Biblical Holiday...PESACH is the Biblical Name of the Feast that fulfilled the prophetic betrayal and crucifixion of Yeshua: "The Lamb slain from the foundation of the World." Christmas is NOT the Biblical Holiday on which Yeshua was born...SUCCOTH is the Biblical Name of the Feast that fulfilled the prophetic birth of Yeshua: "I Tabernacle with men!" When TRUTHS like this are the integral part of Pastoral and Biblical Teaching, the harps of Heaven rejoice that the TRUTH is being shared with the EREV TAV - the GRAFTED IN OLIVE BRANCH - THE GOY BELIEVERS - THOSE OF US WHO CALL OURSELVES CHRISTIANS!
How's that for "Interfaith Dialogue!" Let's REALLY start talking to each other! The set time to favor ZION has come! I want to be one of those who grasp the sleeve of a Jewish loved one and go with him/her to The Land!

Rockets Red Glare
Shalom!
This is the weekend that America honors those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend our Nation against "all enemies: foreign and domestic." As a "Second World War Baby" I was taught that this is a time of both solemnity and gladness...solemnity because of the multiple thousands of young men and women who gave their lives to provide Freedom to us as Citizens of this Great Nation...gladness because we are a Free Nation Under G-d due to their ultimate sacrifice. It has been the tradition and custom to mark this Memorial Day with parades, flag waving, patriotic speeches and family picnics...it has also been the custom of American Presidents to lay a Wreath at Arlington National Cemetery in honor of our War Dead. This year, that tradition ended...no American President will pay tribute and honor to the interned War Dead at our National Cemetery...a Vice President will take the place long reserved for the top office holder in our Free Nation. Coming on the heels of the massive and continual repudiation of all that we have held dear as American Citizens that this President has shown, we mourn our loss in anger that we have allowed this Great Nation to suffer the tarnishment of our values and traditions...and we wonder when we can reclaim our honor and dignity.
Ten thousand miles away, in a small Israeli Negev Town named Sderot, the Rockets Red Glare has another meaning...terrorists fire their Kassam Rockets onto this proud Desert Town in a steady drumbeat designed to reduce the strength and break the will of Sderot's Citizens to stand against "all enemies: foreign and domestic." I have been there to see this battered little town...shopped in her Grocery Store...eaten at her Restaurants...walked the hills and valleys surrounding her...watching the Gaza Border...knowing that someone "there" was watching us watch them...I have slept in my dear friend and founding partner's Bomb Shelter...and observed as much as I could of all that was going on around me while there...one day while we were there, one of these Kassam Rockets was fired and landed not far from where we were staying...thankfully, no home or business suffered a direct hit...but the shrill CODE RED alarms blared and the weary residents sought cover in whatever shelter they could...praying that they would be spared once again.
Sometimes the "all clear" doesn't produce such good results...we visited one of the Kibbutz's surrounding Sderot...the residents of this Kibbutz had planned to show us the Kindergarden that was housed within its' walls and barbed wire fence...there are 45 children at this Kindergarden today...they had all "gone North" during Operation Cast Lead in January 2009...now they were back to their Kibbutz. It was a lovely autumn day...the Kibbutz leaders welcomed us warmly...never mentioning "why" the Israel Defense Force troops were also there...one of us asked about this and we were told that a Kassam Rocket attack had occurred the night before we arrived, and they were on high alert for further terror attacks...in the Kindergarden, the beautiful Israeli Teacher showed us their classroom...it looked like a typical Kindergarden Classroom...crayon pictures lined the walls...little chairs and tables held books and more drawing paper and crayons...then it dawned on us: there were no windows in this little room...we were, literally, in a large bomb shelter...this is how these little ones could be safe during their school day...in a bomb shelter.
One of the little girls had planned to sing us a song to go along with the kool aid and cookies they wanted to serve us...but she could not sing...the trauma of the continual shelling on their Kibbutz had taken a psychological toll...she was too traumatized to sing for us...we learned that the Kindergarden has a full time Psychologist because of the terror and trauma that these little ones deal with...I have a picture of this little girl...and I think now, as I did then, of the little American girl that I am "Aunt Sue" to...and the vastly different life my little one leads...no bombs...no terror...no drills and Code Red alerts...
This weekend, when we celebrate and honor those who have given their lives to protect and defend us against "all enemies: foreign and domestic" let us think about our War Dead...let us resolve that they will not have died in vain...even though our President could not take the time to honor the tradition and respect due their memory. And let us think of the residents of a small Israeli Negev Town to whom the term "Rockets Red Glare" has such a different meaning.
May G-d Bless America! May His Face shine upon Her! May He restore Her to the Greatness She was birthed with! May His Word once again be heard and obeyed throughout every particle of our Beloved Nation! And May the Sar Shalom soon come to His Beloved Israel and Her Eternal Covenant Children! Then, may the Rockets Red Glare Announce His Honor and Glory!

Hinei lo yanum...we attended a Shabbat Service on our travels that concluded with a phenomenal season of prayer...those whose souls were crying for Intercessory Prayer had the opportunity to approach the Bema and address those heartfelt needs in joint prayer with the Congregational Leaders...all during this Season of Prayer a beautiful...haunting song was sung...Hinei lo yanum, ve lo yishan, Shomeir Yisra'el...He who watches Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps...slumbers nor sleeps...neither slumbers nor sleeps...He who watches Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, slumbers nor sleeps...
I have been unable to remove this song from my mind...and find myself singing it over and over continually...it has brought comfort to my heart and soul that are weary and in desperate need of rest and refreshment...He who watches Israel...on Shavuot/Sivan 6 5770...May 19...last Wednesday on the Gregorian calendar...the Heavens told the story of G-d as He watches over His Land...the photos sent to me of the cloud formations over the Temple Mount looked exactly like the Cloud by Day...Pillar of Fire by Night...a report from friends in Israel who wrote:"for several days before, there had been a hot heavy oppression over Jerusalem...a dust cloud from deserts hundreds of miles away hanging high overhead...May 19th Shavuot/Pentecost dawned sparkling and blue...a cold wind springing up overnight had driven away the dust...then throughout the morning we watched a display in the Heavens such as we had never seen before...great streams of clouds rising in the northwest, arching across the city, and then, incredibly, raining down in showers of convergence onto the Mount of Olives...sometimes in broad streams, at others like arrows falling from the sky...He who watches Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps...
Take your heart's needs and longings to Him...let Him refresh you in the depths of your soul as you come before Him with your wounds and hurts, fears and praises laid before this One to whom every knee will bow...He who watches Israel...

Calling Evil Good and Good Evil
Boker Tov on this Sivan 8, 5770! We are hours away from Shabbat...this week's Torah Reading for Shabbat is Parashat 35: NASO (Take) B'midbar/Numbers 4:21-7:89 Parashot means Weekly Torah/Scripture reading) for Shabbat...There are 54 Parashot-Hashavua (readings) to allow for readings on 54 Shabbats - which can happen during a Jewish Leap Year, since a leap year adds a 13th lunar month to the calendar. These Parashot readings from the Torah (Five Books of Moshe) and the Nevi'im (Prophets) are read each week in the Synagogue on Shabbat. The cycle of reading begins on each holiday called SIMCHAT TORAH, which usually falls in October...when the SIMCHAT TORAH begins we begin at B'resheet/Genesis 1 to read Parashot 1/B'resheet 1:1...and contine with the weekly Parashot readings until we come to SIMCHAT TORAH at the end of the Lunar Year and we read Parashot 54 and re-wind the Torah to begin anew with Parashot 1: Beginnings/B'resheet. Simchat Torah means JOY OF TORAH...and reading the Immutable, Inerrant Word of G-d is the deepest joy to our soul!
Remember: each LUNAR MONTH is determined by the sighting of the Crescent Moon seen from in the West from Jerusalem! G-d's Lunar Calendar is based on the Agricultural Cycles that He Created and Determined. Be blessed in your spiritual and physical bodies as you read His Word! He tells us that it is "meat to our bodies!"
Please pray for Safe Travel Mercies today and through next Tuesday for me and those I work with in AFFI. We covet your prayer covering on our work! Pray His Hand upon me and my Israeli Partner and Friend, Eeki Elner...and upon the work that He has called us to do in and for His Land!
These are times of great unrest in our Land...yesterday, in OUR Congress, the President of Mexico castigated AMERICA in OUR OWN HOUSE for the strong stance Arizona has taken against illegal immigration...and he was given a STANDING OVATION by the entire DEMOCRATIC delegation...our President also joined the fray in an unusually sharp condemnation of the RULE OF LAW being upheld in a STATE OF OUR UNION...my Friends and Loved Ones: these are the days that Yeshua spoke of when "men would call EVIL Good and GOOD Evil"...this administration has done more harm to our Nation in 16 months than in all the years gone by...they are causing racial unrest; brokering secret deals to remove our Second Amendment right to bear arms; taking away the free enterprise system that our financial paradigm was built on; exacerbating class envy while destroying the Middle Class; turning on The Land of G-d which will bring horrific calamity on us as G-d's Word clearly states; and fomenting anxiety and fear all across the spectrum of our Society. It is my personal belief that all this is being done so as to create as much chaos as possible...which will result in "them" being able to establish "martial law" which they will then use to destroy our remaining freedoms. Let us approach the Throne of Grace and implore our Father that the hearts of these men and women so bent on "calling evil good and good evil" are broken before Him. And let us not be weary in well doing in this Day we see coming upon us!
Bless each other! Lay hands on your husband and wives and children and friends and pray over them! Anoint each other with Oil! Pray and Study His Word Together! Ask the Ruach Ha Kodesh to fill your homes..lives..children..friends..work..we cannot Stand without Him!

Stand With Israel Campaign

AFFI just launched our STAND WITH ISRAEL Campaign on FACEBOOK! We are working proactively to raise awareness that Israel is the Nation that G-d calls "The Apple of His Eye!" I have taken steps today to get involved with two major organizations that are working to defend our Nation and State. David Zanotti's AMERICAN PUBLIC POLICY ROUNDTABLE is headquartered in Cleveland. David founded the Roundtable many years ago; and has worked tirelessly on all major issues that Ohio has been faced with for as long as I have known him. He is a good friend. Gary Bauer is Founder and Executive Director of CENTER FOR WORKING FAMILIES....another terrific 501.C3 organization based in Washington. Both Gary and David are phenomenal Christian men, and has given their life's work fighting the rapid freefall that we find ourselves in as a State and Nation. BOTH of these men are "the real deal" and their organizations have been vetted and passed the test! I am going to offer both men a quid pro quo: we will work with them/their organizations to take our State and Nation back; and they will work with us to protect Israel!
Once all the details are worked out, I will send a blog outlining how each of us can make a difference and work to restore our State and Nation!
My dear friends: the groundswell has begun! In one day alone, over 60 people joined the AFFI Facebook; and the blogs I have been posting are being responded to in ways that only G-d can orchestrate!
As a very special man said as he and the other brave souls on that doomed 9/11 flight fought to take control of their soon to be death compartment: LET'S ROLL!!
AFFI just launched our STAND WITH ISRAEL Campaign on FACEBOOK! We are working proactively to raise awareness that Israel is the Nation that G-d calls "The Apple of His Eye!" We are going to have T-Shirts and Wristbands made that have this STAND WITH ISRAEL slogan on them! They will be sold as a set (TShirt and Wristband) for $20 plus S+H. Watch for their availability! What can we do?
If you are like me, you are fed up! You have worked your entire life; paid all your taxes; fought for your country or had a loved one/ones fight for your country; voted in every election; tried to stay abreast of current events; studied to know the G-d of Creation and His Son as your Messiah; raised or are raising your family members to know and serve G-d and be responsible citizens of both the Kingdom of Heaven and the USA....
If you are anywhere my age (65 soon), you have a long history and memory of "days gone by" and learned at the feet of your parents and grandparents about the "Great War" and the "Great Depression"....you walked to and from grade school; rode public transportation to high school or car pooled with parents who drove back and forth; worked all during high school either at the local grocery store or gas station; drive in restaurant; or baby-sat the neighborhood kids....
Your parents insisted that you sit down together as a family for meals; and homework was done around the dining room table; when the homework was finished, a TV show was viewd by the entire family....and it was suitable for viewing by the entire family....
You had no idea what "drugs" were except those medications that the Doctor brought to the house when someone was sick....and yes, Doctors made House Calls in those days.....you joined a Civic or Charitable Organization and learned to "pay back AND forward" to the community you lived in...you walked nearly everywhere or rode your bike....and it was safe to do so....you made lots of mistakes and were "grounded" by a strict Dad or Mom for doing so.....
Eventually, you grew up and married the person you vowed to love come "better or worse" and you meant it....together the two of you worked exhausting hours and learned that hard work paid off in what was then America....and you saved for that "rainy day" that everyone told you would come.....you took a job that you knew you would keep for your entire working career....and then would retire from that job with a good pension and the perverbial "gold watch" for years of service...
Along the way, you survived the heartache of loss of loved ones; sickness and illness that debilitated to some extent; and the myriad of problems that come from living on a daily basis....
As you walked this walk, your Faith in the G-d who created you became very strong....it had to...you had no one else to lean on....no one to bail you out....you were taught that you were responsible for the choices you made and the consequences thereof....
And you grew up....and you grew stronger....and you never in a million years thought you would see your once great Nation reduced to the slobbering, nanny state that it has become.....nor did you think that all the years that you worked and paid taxes....kept abreast of all current affairs and voted for candidates that you believed were of good moral and spiritual fiber.....NEVER did you think you would see the type of unprincipled, unethical, immoral, godless, socialist and marxist men and women take over your country.....nor did you think that everything you worked for and paid for would be given to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who did nothing to earn even one penny of it.....nor did you think that your taxes would go for MILLIONS of lazy people who live at the trough of the public dole.....and cry that they have not enough and we owe them more....
So, if you are like me, you are FED UP....and you know that it is time that something be done....well, here is the deal: I am going to write to several individuals that I know are working to change all this.....men and women of strong principle and deep faith.....men and women like you and me....who already have working organizations that are fighting this sewage daily......I think that if we join forces with these men and women, we have a fighting chance.....look at Arizona....and now Colorado....they said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and are TAKING THEIR STATES BACK....let's do the same! Are you with me?

Sivan 6: Two Shavu'ots
Today is 6 Sivan 5770: Shavu'ot. The "Counting of the Omer" - 49 Days plus 1 - has been completed and the fourth "Moedim" - Appointed Time that G-d commanded be observed is upon us.
Vayikra/Leviticus 23: 15-22: From the day after the day of rest - that is from the day you bring the sheaf for waving - you are to count 7 full weeks, until the day after the seventh week ; you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to Adonai. You must bring bread from your homes for waving - two loaves made with one gallon of fine flour, baked with leaven - as a firstfruits for Adonai. Along with the bread, present seven male lambs without defect - one year old, one young bull and two rams; these will be a burnt offering for Adonai, with their grain and drink offerings; an offering made by fire as a fragrant aroma for Adonai. Offer one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs one year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings. The cohen will wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before Adonai, with the two male lambs; these will be holy for Adonai for the cohen. On the same day, you are to call an holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work; this is a permanent regulation through all your generations no matter where you live.
When you harvest the ripe crops produced in your land, don't harvest all the way to the corners of your field; and don't gather the ears of grain left by the harvesters; leave them for the poor and the foreigner; I am Adonai, your G-d!
Of all the shalosh regalim (three pilgrimage festivals) which Israel was commanded to celebrate in Yerushalayim, Shavu'ot: the Feast of Weeks, stands out as the most dramatic.
According to tradition, it was at this time - fifty days after the first Pesach/Passover was celebrated the night the firstborn of all Egyptian homes and livestock were killed by the Angel of the L-rd as the final plague HaShem visited upon Egypt - that the Ivriyim/Hebrews came to Mt. Sinai to receive Torah!
As HaShem spoke to Moshe there were incredible signs and wonders that testified that Israel was in the presence of HaShem (G-d: literally, THE NAME). Fire, smoke, and lightening were all seen that day at the mountain. For this reason, Shavu'ot it celebrated as the time when Israel received Torah and entered into a new Covenant relationship with Adonai (The L-rd).
Part of the Haftarah (portions of the Prophets) read on Shavu'ot is Yechezk'el/Ezekiel 1. Yechezk'el was given a vision of the Shekhinah (Glory of G-d) as G-d told him to stand at the entrance of the cave and He would 'pass by' - the Strong Wind, the Cloud, and the Fire all represented the Presence of G-d! Sadly, the First Temple was destroyed during the lifetime of Yechezk'el and the Shekhinah departed from Israel.....
The Brit Hadassah/New Testament records for us that in first century Yerushalayim the custom of honoring the Shalosh Regalim Festival of Shavu'ot fifty days after Pesach/Passover was celebrated as G-d commanded in Vayikra/Leviticus 23: 15-22. The Acts of the Emissaries 2:1-2 states that "the Festival of Shavu'ot arrived, and the Believers all gathered together in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from the sky like the roar of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house ..." As the Talmidim worshipped on Shavu'ot, reading from the Prophet Yechezk'el, the manifestation of the Shekhinah returned!
There were hundreds of thousands of religious Jews from every Nation under Heaven in Yerushalayim. They were there fulfilling the Shalosh Reglaim Feast of Shavu'ot! Religious Jews plan all night sessions to study the Ten Commandments. This tradition may reflect a tradition of staying awake all night in prayer that found its' origin in the Second Temple period. It may explain why thousands of Orthodox Jews were on the streets in Jerusalem on Shavu'ot morning!
They saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each of the Talmidim. Kefa/Peter addressed the large crowd gathered to see this...he said that what had transpired was a fulfillment of Yoel/Joel 3:1-5 "Adonai says; In the Last Days, I will pour out My Spirit upon everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams, Even on my slaves, both men and women, will I pour out from my Spirit in those days; and they will prophesy. I will perform miracles in the sky above and signs on the earth below - blood, fire and thick smoke. The sun will become dark and the moon blood before the great and fearful Day of Adonai comes. And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved!"
What perfect symetry! G-d's Word is inerrant and immutable. Messiah Yeshua said that "not one yod or tittle" would remain unfulfilled. Truly we see this on 6 Sivan!

Weariness Sets In.......
Boker Tov! (Good Morning in Hebrew!)
Weariness sets in every time I read the world news...I force myself to read the news because of my leadership role with The Alliance For The Future Of Israel/AFFI...and because of the Mission of AFFI, which is to raise awarness and financial support for the Israel Leadership Institute/ILI in Sderot, Israel....but I must admit that it takes me a few minutes to deal with the abject sickness I feel whenever I am done with the latest "world news!" This AM is no exception...
I just posted several articles to the AFFI Facebook page, here are the Headlines of these articles:

*Israel's Invaluable Help To U. S. Military
When choosing which articles to "post" to the Facebook site, I try to balance them between the truth of what is going on regarding the worldwide betrayal of Israel and the pure goodness that exists in that wonderful Land of G-d! The article on Iran and the Launch Site is sobbering...the article on Truman and the recognition of Israel in 1948 is historic...my Israeli Partner and Co-Founder of the Israel Leadership Institute/ILI and his phenomenal Board of Directors LIVED this "rebirth" of their Nation...and have fought and led all the wars they have been forced to fight since Her Re-birth...the one on the invaluable assistance their Military gives to our Military needs to be shouted from the housetops! When terror strikes again on our soil, I would PRAY FERVENTLY that we have learned as much as possible about the horror of daily terror from the world's experts in this: Israel!

If you want to read them for yourself, do a web search...I am trying to forget that I made myself read them...this is the weariness that overcomes me every day...until I once again dig deep into my spiritual soul and recall the Biblical Prophecies that nearly word for word spell out exactly what I have just read as "today's news"...then, and only then, with the powerful weapons of prayer and praise, am I able to clear my mind and heart of the horrors and move into the day with confidence...the confidence that only comes because of G-d's Promises that He will deliver His Eternal Covenant Land and Children...and that those who "touch Her" have "touched the Apple of His Eye...as a Christian Zionist, my Faith rests on Adonai and His Inerrant and Immutable Word! My Messiah was and is a Jew!
Z'kharyah/Zechariah 12:9 records: "It shall be in THAT DAY that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Yerushalayim!"
Off to Church to Praise and Worship...my soul, mind and heart really need cleansed this AM!

The Gates of Zion
He has set his foundation on the holy mountain; the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God: "I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me - Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush - and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'" Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her." The Lord will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion. . . ." As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you." Psalm 87, HCSB
One of the photos at the top of this Blog show the Eastern Gates of Jerusalem....these Gates have remained closed.....awaiting their opening by The Massiach when He comes to His Temple Mount. Then these Gates will become the "Beautiful Gates" that they were intended to be! And then we will rejoice with all those in Zion who love the G-d of Israel and His Messiah!

What goes around, comes around!
Today is Sivan 1, 5770....we have now entered the month of Shavuot, the 4th of the 7 Feasts of the L-rd. The "Ten Words" - Ten Commandments were given on Sivan 6 as the Hebrew Nation gathered at the foot of Mt. Sinai.....49 days plus 1 following the Exodus from Egypt. The Christian World calls Shavuot "Pentecost" and honors this date as the birthday of the Church. Flames of fire fell on both of these Sivan 6 dates: in the Wilderness around Sinai the first time as HaShem thundered from His Heaven, speaking His Commands; and in Jerusalem the second time as the Ruach was poured out on those who were gathered there as the Levitical Law required.

There is an old adage: "what goes around,comes around." It has been used for years to mean that "what you do, will eventually be done to you." The Torah would say "an Eye for an Eye.....a Tooth for a Tooth".....same principle as the adage.
By all news accounts, Ehud Barak left Washington having been given "discrete assurances" that the current US Administration would "look favorably" on the disolution of the Coalition that Bibi Netanyahu formed when he was elected Prime Minister of Israel. MK Barak sent pretty strong signals that he will cooperate with the US Administration in their determiniation to give Israel's land to the Palestinians....and would even consider the unthinkable: dividing Jerusalem. You can see the handwriting of this Adminstration all over this.....their betrayal of Israel reaches new levels of disgust daily.
War with Lebanon is brewing.....Hezbollah is armed and plotting their next attack....the IDF is preparing for this eventuality...massive disaster drills are being waged inside Israel and on the Mediterranean....many are saying that summer will see the outbreak of these hostilities.....what concerns me is where will the US support be placed: Lebanon or Israel......the unthinkable betrayal could happen.
While Israel and those Zionists around the World who love Her honored Yom Yerushalayim Day this week, others chose this time to inflict harm....Arab teens stoned a car in Jerusalem this week, nearly hitting a young baby who was sitting in the back seat. The incident took place at the entrance to Ir David (City of David), outside the Old City and next to the increasingly violent Arab neighborhood in the Silwan area.
The parents, residents of the Jewish village of Kida in Samaria, had traveled to the capital to celebrate Jerusalem Day. After visiting family in the neighborhood of Nof Tzion, the couple set off for Ir David.
As they approached the neighborhood, they found themselves stuck in traffic. Suddenly, several young Arab men assembled behind their car and began throwing stones at the back windshield. The couple's young baby was in his car seat, facing the back windshield. While most stones missed the car, one large rock shattered the windshield and missed the infant's head by centimeters.
While we go about our business here in the States in a fairly safe environment (for the time being), a young family in Israel cannot let their guard down for even one moment.....
The G-d of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps....and His Eye is on His Land!

I see the branch of an almond tree.......Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 1:11-12
"Shaked" and "Shoked"....."The word of Adonai came to me, asking: Yirmeyahu, what do you see? I answered, 'I see the branch from an almond tree' (Hebrew: shaked). Then Adonai said to me: 'You have seen well, because I AM watching (Hebrew: shoked) to fulfill My Word.'
Shoked is the word used for 'watching.' The world chooses not to believe that G-d is watching His Land and Children. Day by day Israel becomes more and more abused by nations who are turning their backs on The Word of G-d. The sadness of this truth is that not only is Israel suffering as a result of this abandonment.....the Nations who are turning against Her are suffering horrific judgment as a result......B'resheet/Genesis 12:1-4 clearly captures what the G-d of Creation has to say about His Eternarl Covenant Land and Children: "I will BLESS those who BLESS you; and CURSE those who CURSE you.....and in YOU shall ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD be blessed." Not much room for doubt in His pronouncement!
Shaked is the word for 'Almond branch budding'.......recall Aharon and the sign that G-d gave to those who questioned Moshe and Aharon in the Wilderness......G-d said that the Branch that brought forth buds would identify the man of His Favor......the almond tree has "blossom cups" and is the first to awaken to its new season.
The Menorah has 7 branches with almond blossom cups at the top to hold the oil for burning/to give light. On the right hand side, three of the branches turn toward the middle branch.....on the left hand side, three of the branches turn toward the middle branch....the middle branch is called the Shamash.....it is the source from which the other 6 branches are lit for burning. Similarily, Tehellim 111-117 are called 'The Menorah Tehellim/Psalms' - three Tehellim on both sides of Tehellim 114 point to Tehellim 114.....these are the "Songs of Ascent" that were sung by the Jewish pilgrims as they ascended to Jerusalem for the three Regalim Feasts that HaShem commanded 'all mankind everywhere' to honor by appearing before Him in the Temple in Jerusalem. Pretty heady stuff when you contemplate what it all means!
